Half lamb

~27–30 lbs hanging weight at $7.50/lb. Roughly $225 to the farm plus $50 to the butcher. Yields about 20 lbs of cut, wrapped, frozen meat.

~55–60 lbs hanging weight at $7.50/lb. Roughly $450 to the farm plus $100 to the butcher. Yields about 40 lbs of cut, wrapped, frozen meat.

How it works

Simple, clear, and freezer-ready.

  1. Place your deposit.$100 holds a half, $200 holds a whole. We confirm by email and add you to the May 2026 schedule when spots remain.
  2. Butchering in May 2026.We communicate exact timing as we know it. Animals go to Jones' Farm Market in Saranac.
  3. Cuts and weight.Once your animal is hanging, we know the actual weight. The butcher calls you to walk through cuts: chops, roasts, shanks, ground, sausage, organs.
  4. Pay the butcher direct.$50 for a half or $100 for a whole. All-in for kill, cut, wrap, and freeze.
  5. Pay the balance to the farm.We charge your card on file: hanging weight × $7.50/lb, less your deposit, plus a 3% card processing fee.
  6. Pick up at Jones' Farm Market within one week.Frozen meat will be ready for pickup in Saranac. You have one week from “ready” to collect it.
